Cortney Porter, Executive Sous Chef. Cortney is an American Culinary Federation Gold and Silver medalist in various culinary competitions. She serves as the Diversity Chairman for the Young Professionals of Columbus and is a member of The Columbus Urban League’s Young Professional Association where she has held an elected YPA board position since 2004. Cortney received her degree and culinary training at Columbus State Community College Chef Apprentice and Hospitality Management Program. In 2003, she was awarded “Chef Apprentice of the Year” by the American Culinary Federation Chapter of Columbus. A certified culinarian, and an essential part of the Shane’s Gourmet Team since April of 2000, Cortney knows how to create the perfect impression at corporate and social gatherings. Cortney is responsible for overseeing many of the details associated with Shane’s special events, along with customizing catering services with creative culinary choices to make every catered event unforgettable.
