Brooke O’Neill, Community Relations, has a distinguished history in fundraising and event planning for political and philanthropic organizations.  Working independently as a political fundraiser in 1999, she managed campaign fundraising efforts for the re-election of Justice Deborah Cook and election of Judge Terrence O’Donnell in the 2000 Ohio Supreme Court race.  Following the 2000 election, Brooke was sent to Florida to serve as a team leader for the George W. Bush presidential campaign.  Most recently at The Ohio State University, Brooke served as Director of Special Events for the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute from February 2001 through December 2003.  There she supervised the development, marketing/communication and implementation of all fundraising events including; Up on the Roof, Herbert J. Block Memorial Tournament, Stefanie’s Champions and all events associated with the Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.  Immediately following, Brooke was working independently again as a development consultant for The German Village Society and Columbus PACE Race benefiting the Prostate Cancer Education Council Foundation.  Currently, Brooke is thrilled to be a part of the Shane’s Gourmet Team. A Bexley, Ohio native, Brooke earned her B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University in 1999.  Currently, a resident of German Village with her husband Brendan O’Neill (President of Shane’s Gourmet Market), Brooke has taken a special interest in her community.  Her many volunteer efforts in Columbus include: Trustee for Opera Columbus, The Childhood League, Children’s Hospital and The Memorial Tournament, The Center for Child and Family Advocacy, James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.  She takes great pride in Columbus and hopes to continue her efforts with organizations that are working to make our community remarkable.
